What are the best Lakes for trout?

 new to trout fishing  in the FLX region looking for some good advice.

Not familiar with the FLX area but DEC has lake maps on their webpage.    They are arranged by county.  Good place to start
No one will probably give up their lakes.

All the finger lakes with trout that freeze are great for ice fishing.. keuka Canandaigua skaneatles, canadice and owasco.

None of them freeze every year so you need to take advantage of it when they do.. this year looks promising so far.

Quaker lake in Alleghany state park is a great lake for trout
