Maybe I'm hopelessly addicted to icefishing but I see only one day above 40 next week where I get my weather on this site by clicking on my county:

All the nights are supposed to be below freezing and then it gets colder again for the weekend.

If I can put on a 2 to 3 inches really fast on the pond and don't lose it by the next weekend...

I literally watched my pond ice over tonight.  It took about an hour...after the wind died down.  We'll see how it goes.

Must have happened with mine too. I went out after dark and it has a quarter of inch of ice on it. I'll be icefishing off the pier tomorrow all day with the fishtrap guide. Better than nothing!

They've downgraded temps to only a high of 40 on Thursday! Single digits tonight again. We should be able to put on 2 inches by tomorrow on our ponds. Then another cold airmass comes in by next weekend. Sounds promising for ponds.

I'll P.M. you. Someone is getting bent out of shape on the site regarding what they call "free advertising." They said it had to do with fish preservation and I can only assume it's me. A PM to one of them did not yield any results even though one of them said it was not me.

 I can assure everyone I did not post the pic to advertise. I have plenty of customers. What I need is customers that pay on time and don't leave me hanging.

I have 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches on the pond now. Up to freezing today and then down to 22 tonight. Even though there will be a slight warmup this week I see we may get another Arctic blast this weekend. I may pull the fishtrap guide out on the ice this evening. If you don't see any more posts from me here you'll know what happened. 

Either that or I'll come back all pissed off because my fish trap is fish structure on the bottom! 

There is an area out in the middle of the pond I really want to fish. 2 feet of weeds on the bottom and it's a fish magnet! Haven't been able to get to it on ice since early January!

I know how you feel Taxi.  I am thinking about heading out this afternoon. I really want to fish.  Since I got back from Canada now I have the bug worse then I did.  I hope you make it out there today and catch some fish.  Go luck to you and most of all be safe.

If it gets below freezing like they say it is tonight the ice will be ok.  Talked to a guy that fished snow today.  He said he left at 1 and we werent loosing much.  He said ok for tommarow.  I think as long as it gets below freezing at night we will be ok.  Looking at the forecast I think we might gain a inch or so this weekend.  I bet we will have fishing all through next weekend.  I am ready.  It can stay here till the middle of March.  Then I have to start umpiring.
