I remember as a kid, (many years ago) fishing Flagstaff in the summer and catching some huge yellow's.
I'd love to see one of our youth fisherman set a new record!!

Wow, I love jigging for perch, to think there are “destination” perch lakes here in Maine. Also, I just noticed the pumpkinseed was beat and updated this past few months. I hate to point it out, but there’s no record for other sunfish species like redbreast, or the invasive bluegills, green, and warmouth sunfish. I do wish they gave length of fish on that list.

you want big y. perch, hit the weeedlines outsize of the coves in march. you'll have the lake to yourself and some big yellows! big bait = big fish! i can get 200 fish mornings at my shack on long early season, when theyre deep. get some monsters after sun up!

got a 16incher off a trap set under the ice w/ a 6in. smelt on a trap 6-7 years ago on cross lake. thought it was a salmon! we have some huge yellows up here that need to be thinned out!
