Big Manistique Lake Help
« on: Nov 09, 2017, 05:49 AM »
Never  ice fished Biq Manistique lake and would like to do so this winter season. We are mobile with aatv's equipted with tracks and portable shanties. Any help in suggesting a resort, general locations for walleye and perch and best times of the season to come up( we are traveling over 325 miles on way) would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

Gordon's in Curtis has some nice cabins. Right across the street from South Manistique Lake. They have kitchens. 3 restaurants in town. Get hold of the Fish and Hunt store there. They will give you all the info you need.
Thank you Lord for thinkin bout me. I'm alive and doin fine!!!!!!

I've been to Big Manistique a few times now.  We have a trip planned for January 13th-20th.  It's called Big Manistique for a reason.  Lots of water to cover.  We have done OK on perch and walleye there.  Although, they can be hit or miss.  There are lots of lakes in the area which is nice.  If you go all the way to Curtis and don't stop in to see Mick at Mick's Bait Shop, you are making a big mistake.  She will give you honest and up to date information on what's biting and what they are biting on.  If you have facebook, check out Mick's facebook page.
I used to get excited about a 20 inch bass until I caught my first 40 inch dolphin.
