How many Regina people would.......
« on: Feb 08, 2006, 09:36 PM »
like to get together for an evening coffee to chat, meet and compare notes on icefishing in the Regina area?

It would be nice to put some faces to the names here. I'm sure many of us have seen each other or chatted at one point over the season and it would be nice to get together.

Maybe a Hali jig baited with a donut beside that coffee and you might bring me the 100kms into the city ::) ......anyways, great idea for anyone who can make it.

Aww, isn't that cute? "Hooking-up" on a fishing forum.

Any tosser can catch a little, sissyfin Walleye.
Walleye suck, and Perch suck-off Walleye.
I only fish for monster Pike, the kind that scare you right off the Walleye trail!

I'll be back by the end of the week so I might be interested in getting together for a beer or something... I've been in Fla doing a little pier fishing... caught one of these freaky looking things the other day.

didn't have a tournament card on me though or I might of had a crack at a winning entry. :D

It's called a 'scrawled cowfish' and it's one of the few fish that mate for life.  The locals say that if they were any dumber they'd swim backwards.  It was just under a foot long and gave me quite a surprise.  I'm going to try to get back on the pier today if it isn't too windy and try again.... see if I can't get something a little more substantial.   They had a red tide here last year that hurt the fishing quite a bit and unseasonably cool weather isn't helping but I still managed a sunburn last week!

This morning I hooked a stingray that had to be 2 1/2 feet across and weighed maybe 25 - 30 lbs at least...... couldn't hoist it up to the pier but that's ok, didn't have the darned card on me... >:(..... Party's over tomorrow, back to the frozen north.

Very cool, Buzzbomb that would be a blast to be able to fish in Fla.
The scrawled cow fish is a very colorful fish indeed, and a stingray would be very cool to catch also, defiantly not fish you find every day. :)

Can't be helped, T.O. tonight, Regina tomorrow night, but I see it'll be nice again by monday so all I have to do is stay warm for a couple of days.  It's bound to be a shock at first.....shirtsleeves here.
