Hub shanty's breaking
« on: Jan 17, 2017, 04:41 PM »
Around here where I live I'm starting to see a lot of hub style shanty's for sale, stating that they are broken. What is breaking on these hub style shantys? Are they repairable?
One shanty in particular is a Clam expedition, owner stating that it needs one hub replaced, what is the hub? Thanks

Uncle Al,
The hubs are central to each side and the roof.

They're the junction of the 4 poles that spread the fabric covering.

The poles pivot within the hubs and ANY FORCING usually causes breakage of the poles or the hub.

A nasty vocabulary is usually required to change out either part or parts.     ;)2
