Fishing a few days ago a friend came out and he had the clam auger plate. It was the first I had seen one and was impressed with it as was another friend of mine. I got to try it out and it was great, no twist on my wrists with torque. It was hooked up with a mora lazer auger and a Milwaukee m-18 fuel 1/2" drill and 4 amp ion lith. battery and it cut faster then my gas powered strikemaster laser 8''. Our ice that day was 10" hard ice and it cut it fast and quiet, no smell of gas. The clam plate is great but what makes the setup is the drill and power of the drill. Do some research on this site for tested reports. Yes my friend and I ordered two clam plates from Cabelas.
