A friend and I fished the South Morrill sandpits today for two and half hours. Iced 6 rainbow trout and 3 15" large mouth bass. We put the bass back in. Ice is around 11 inches where we fished. We used wax worms and small minnows 6 inches off the bottom. Need to stay right with the rods or they will steal you blind. You can see some bad spots in the ice, probably where the warm water springs feed it from the river. Check the ice, be careful and have fun guys
