I dont know what happened but the edges were all popcorn ice, maybe from the rain? too sketchy to get onto.

Rain comes off the hill and drains into the pond though pipes. I would have to guess that there is 8-10" of ice once you get on. That's one of, if not the first safe ice ponds in the state.
