I just bought a Marcum LX-3TCI, my first flasher, and I've taken it out maybe four times and have noticed a couple different things. The first that bothers me the most is that it seems that in about 30 foot of water I am having trouble seeing my Swedish pimple size 4 if it is held still. I have to keep it moving or else it fades out. If I turn up the gain to where it is consistent, I get a lot of clutter as if the gain is set too high. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be like that or I got a defective product. The other problem I have been having is the interference rejection. My fishing buddy who has the exact same flasher is usually in the same hut as me and we have tried the 12 stages of rejection on one and both units to try to find a crisp signal yet we can only get it to be barely manageable. Is this normal or do you think I have a defective unit? Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Bob
