viewing camera screen on bright days

  for folks using cameras without dark shantys. out on a bright lake it's hard to see the screen..any tips?
l thought of mcgiver-ing a black bucket with some kind of shroud to look through.

Get some Anti glare film ...picked mine up at Walmart it was for a tablet or something cut to fit on my AV Micro 5 and Micro plus . What camera do you have ?

Anti glare does help but it's no silver bullet.  Shade inside the coat, one of my reasons for buying a small unit in the first place.

I would think some measurements and a trip to the Dollar Store ..sure there is a storage container option .Make a 3/4 shield add some black paint ...some Velcro atop the camera ..should be good to go

Another option is to contact Marcum ...they may have a solution for you.

like your phone, it's best to remove the sunglasses too or look over/under them. i use my body to stop the sun from hitting it directly.

you can get similar sun shades for a fraction of the $20 Marcum price on amazon.com or as somebody said, go buy some foamboard, tape a flap peice on either side and wrap it in fabric.
