I purchased one of these last year and got to use it a couple times and I am not a big fan of the floor in it because of how flimsy it is and was wondering if anybody has made any modifications to theirs? I was thinking about making a wood platform under each half out of 2x4's and treated plywood (basically like a box), remove the hole doors and putting them in the platform. A friend has an old cabelas shanty that's built like this and I really like it. Another reason why I want to do this is because it tends to move easily if you're not in it unless you pack a good amount of slush around it. Thanks for any feedback or ideas you may have.

I had a 3000 for a long time. Never had a problem with the floor and sometimes we would squeeze three guys into it. Wood floor would add a lot of weight but it should be easy to make. I just wished Shappel would revisit how it places the holes in the 4000. I don't like them at opposite sides. Makes it hard to fish three guys.

I bought a 3000 2 years ago that had one side of the floor tore up that the PO had used for spearing, I put a piece of lauan bigger than the mess on the floor so when folded the material wouldn't come out. when I set it up I drill my holes in the bad part of the floor and sit on the good part. works fine.
