The eagle claw in-line plastic reels are junk based om my experience. Save your money and buy a better quality reel.

Gonna use the frabill straight line reel for dead sticking this season. Gonna set the drag real light, and listen for noise, then pay out some line and set the hook.
If it passes the ruler test, put it in the ice chest. Hook it and cook it.

X3, am at least a 40 yr user of the schooley reel. Cannot believe schooley has not introduced a reel with the spool offset mounted more like the new fangled free fall jobs. I would buy that in a heartbeat. Until then, keep using what i know works!
