Went out yesterday to a favorite fall spot on Champlain and over a couple of hours caught some big ones. There was action on almost every cast. We were casting with spoons. We brought home a stringer full of 4-6 pounders and a couple around 10 pounds and released 20 or so more.
The largemouth bass were very active for about an hour and we put a bag of bass fillets in the freezer too.
Shallow rocky/weedy flats near rivers or along points and shorelines are hot this season.
