Voltage regulator for 96 polaris xlt touring
« on: Dec 21, 2016, 01:34 PM »
My headlights go dim periodically and my research shows that it is probably the voltage regulator.  Anyone know where exactly this is located on my sled or the part number?  I found one google result for a slightly different polaris that said it would be near my right foot under the hood.  Couldn't see it this morning before racing to work.

Thanks for any advice...

It's mounted behind the right side footwell as you're sitting on the sled. Yellow and brown wires.  Usually a little black box bolted to the frame.

Found it.  Thanks F1.  I looked there yesterday and didn't see anything.  Wires are tucked up underneath it and it blended into the blackness...
