I recently picked up a strikemaster electra lazer 12000 dp auger used on craigslist. It is in perfect shape and I got a great deal on it($100 and it came with 2 batteries!). I have a few questions for anyone who has any knowledge on these. The only charge cord it came with is the car charger cord (the one that plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car). I have an adaptor that plugs into the wall then you can plug a 12v plug into that. Can I use that to charge the auger in my house or do I need to buy the specific wall charger cord from strikemaster? That cord is over $40 and if I can just use the adapter that I already have, that would save me some money. Also, I'm looking to buy the other cord that hooks the auger up to an external battery so I can run it off my ATV if my internal batteries die out on the ice. I'm having trouble locating one for sale online. Anyone know where I can find one of those? This seems like a pretty slick unit and I can't wait to hit the ice this year!
