I need some actual use information, on using 1/2" EMT for "U" bends in a flip over type shelter. Is thin wall conduit sufficient in high winds? My "U" bends would have 60" legs & 36" bottom/top. I just made a test "L" 60" & 36". Holding the ends and with force, I could bend it. Would a better choice be 3/4" EMT or 1/2" IMC.

Thanks for the help.

I have a clam pro flip over and the poles are 1/2 in, I think the newer ones are using 3/4 and sometimes bigger,I guess it would be your choice as to what you use. The 1/2 in my clam works for it's size.
