After spending some serious cash on ice lures and a short season.I am wondering what and if any would be good for open water.

I make nearly all my jigs minus forage minnows and some other northland tackle I can't imitate. My brother and I have an assortment of powder paint and blank spoons. Fill with soder and paint! Very very easy and is very cheap compared to spending 5 dollars a jig. U can get 50 spoon blanks for less than that and if u break off, oh well it's hard to redo. Should consider getting into it! Can test colors n patterns and even imitate those 'expensive" jigs. If only I had a tungston cast I'd be in business lol. Usually buy tungston blanks on eBay for 1 dollar a piece n paint myself. Save 4 dollars a pop
Hard water, vexilar, aqua vu, and my brother to fish with is my ultimate high.
