i finally have a chance to get out and fish this sunday, the weatehr this week has not been good to us but i wanna get out somewhere, think the ice will be safe? im not even sure what the ice was like before this weekend, thanks

Think small or go north. Anything of size or with inlets outlets might be sketchy. Wherever you go drill lots of holes to check. Pretend it was early season.

Not sure where you live, but anything in southern Maine I would avoid. Depending on your location, you may have to travel.

im from durham, there has been shacks on sabattus and i was told there was 8"-10" there and on worthley but widk what it will look like after this week

I'm sure we lost some ice. I would check often walking or driving. A few sleds have gone through recently in different areas.

A lot of places last weekend only had 4-8 inches. After a week of 50 degrees and a ton of rain I might take this weekend off. Looks like winter returns next week though...

The shacks are off sabbattus. A lot of 5-6" ice, some thicker near shore

I will take a fishing break until next wed, Thursday, the weather shows the nights will be below freezing starting the first of the week . With this snow coming we need to tread lightly and check with chisels.
