With so many choices out there I'd compare features.  The tarp is best if it's a
canvas material.  The more plastic material the more they rattle in the wind.  Nylon
sides are the low end.  The sled.  A nice high sided sled made out of heavy ASB
is best.  Even so start out with wearstrips cause parkinglots will eat away the
bottom over time.  Headroom is essential if you plan on using a lantern or heater.
Let price be your last consideration as this is a longterm investment.  Don't give up
comfort for price.  I like fishtraps.  Other veterans swear by Otter.  Don't know much
about Eskimo but they do show up on E-bay.  Good luck with your new hut.

No problem AkDan,
Have you tried out the search engine on the Shanty main page.  It will check out the archives for ya or you can Google it and find out more than you ever wanted to know about the quickflip.  They looked interesting on E-bay but the last minute bidders and high shipping costs kept me from bidding.  Besides around here we can
check out several brands side by side.  Good luck.

JUst Bought a Clam fish trap pro series I only paid $145 for it. the sled on the clam is very cheap compared to the otter. next year I plan on buying the otter medium, I already have the sled but the tent was just to expensive for this year. As far as Im concerned I"ed stay away from the Eskimo their just not durable compared to the otter or clam.  ::) :o

I just got a shappell rover 1, the sled is very strong. I believe they are made right on a jet sled. It doesn't have a seat but a sliding bench, which is a lot more comfortable than a bucket. It also has a lot of head room, i'm not extremely tall but i am 6'1'' and there is plenty of room.

I looked at a guys Eskimo one man and it was pretty nice. It really had alot of room in front of the pull down frame for electronics ,heaters and etc. I asked these 2 guys about them and They had Clam fishtraps before and like the Eskimo the best !!!! I was asking because my scout is too small and I was thinking about the Pro model.
