Looking to find the best way homemade or store bought used to keep big bait from setting off the tilt. I hate using the drag on tilt so looking for other ways I have tried elastics and cloths pins they work ok but didn't know if there was another unique way. Thank you in advance

Rubber bands. I saw an instruction video a couple of years ago. Rubber and holds the bait in place, when a fish strikes, the rubber band breaks and the line goes out, flag up, fish on.

Clip the tail fins, the bait swims erratic and wont trip the flag.
