Mazonia Massacre

 A friend and I hit the strip pits yesterday and today. Ice was crystal clear 6-8 inches every where we fished. Ice was so clear you could see the bottom in 12 foot or less. We had to work hard for them and no clear pattern emerged. In one hole they would hit a VMC glow ice fly and not the next. All in all 2 great days on the ice. Nice gills all 7-9 inches and 3 bonus slabs on Tuesday.

Well we started on Pondo walked and drilled then walked and drilled some more 2 hours worth and didnt mark a thing. Last week we caught our limit of 10 each in a hour and half.  We ended up at clear lake. With no snow we traveled light a bucket a couple of rods and a auger. It paid off with a nice haul. Ice was a consistent 6-8 inches and snot slick. With the warm up be careful on the edges they go first and fast
