Do I use the battery hook up that is attached to the ice transducer that came with the kit or just use the regular "Red connector" that came with the finder and tie back the battery connectors that came with the transducer harness. Also, can you aadvised me how or where I can get information on how to set it up from boat mode to Ice fishing mode. Thanks

I tried that but I didn't see anything that specifically referred to the Elite 4 hdi wiring. I'll look again.   Thanks

Use the red power connector to power up the unit.  Did your ice kit come with the adaptor for the ice ducer?  Don't attach the power leads on the transducer cable.  I don't remember how to get to ice mode, but you get to the circular flasher mode or amplitude scope( vertical flasher) from sonar options.

Ok I appreciate your help. Yes it came with the adapter. I think I might have figured out how to get to the ice mode.  Just not a lot of info out there for the elite 4 hdi     Thanks

Yeah I just got elite 4 ice machine,  the extra wires on the ducer cord are for networking in a boat.  I set mine in ice mode running the setup wizards

I have been running an elite 5 for years, it's my favorite, I've used them all.  I much prefer the amplitude scope to the round flasher.   The infinitely adjustable zoom is really handy.  If you have any specific questions shoot me a message.  It's a good system but there is very little info out about how to use it, I had to trial and error it.

I like the amplitude scope better than the circular flasher on my HDS 7.  The ability to set the depth range is a great feature.  I use the shallow water mode so it has the look of when I use in in soft water.  The cable on your red and black wires on the transducer plug are for power if you have a uniplug unit.  The extra cable on the power cord is a nema 0183 data cable.  Enjoy  your new ice rig now that ice is forming
