Grand Mesa Island Lake.

Caught my first Splake through the ice. And 1 Rainbow. Tough going with this front coming in and the moon last night but I did catch 2 on my first trip out.
I thought it was a Brookie with all the color it had in it but then realized it was a splake.
Next week is the Lake city bridge.

Nice, I have never caught a Splake. How was the ice?

Out close to the Island the ice was around 6-7" but the ice when I first got on from the east it was 8-9". Solid ice no snow on top. Didn't take my cleats because I thought there would be snow. So it was slick.
