What was your complaint about Cabellas?  I believe it had something to do with a Warranty and the "Lifetime" of said item......

Might I take a quote from Tommy Boy.
Quote
Tommy: Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Go on, I'm listening.
Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty inside.
Ted Nelson, Customer: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?
[chuckles until he sees that Ted is not laughing]
Ted Nelson, Customer: [impatiently] What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times.
Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of crap. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

Two different companies Ed. LL Bean has the same warranty and stands behind everything they sell. Some companies stand behind their products, some dont. I havent heard of any issues with people getting items repairedunder the warranty for rigid. Milwaukee on the other hand, acts alot like cabellas.

Milwaukee has taken care of me every time I had an issue with any of their products. They have paid my shipping both ways twice. Not even a problem with paperwork. They have been great to deal with.

Good to hear, there have been reports on the general forums about them charging for repair. Even while still under warranty.

In my book there is only one brand of power tool to buy: Binford- When you need more power

That was the Eggbeater Company that wouldn't stand behind their product.  I heard it in a report on the interwebbs.

My electric mixer broke today 😞! I guess I'll have to hand mash the taters for dinner. Unless I can use one of these rigid setups? Will they mash my taters? What's the best speed setting?

Again, why I say the open face style is better than that piece of junk you have.  With a simple adapter (a guy on E-bay makes them) you can turn it in to one of these.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

Cant use your propane setup? Prolly best to use it outside if you try, the fumes are no good in an enclosed area.

Either way, I got you buddy. Slow speed if you like them a little chunky, high speed to whip them. Side handle optional for the limp wristed.

Multi purpose Keith. Just another plus over those dino augers.

[/quote ] "dino" Hmmm they are relatively new to the market and most brands have a propane auger now. Seems that they are on to something here. If I need some mixed drinks or have to mash or stir some taters on the ice, I'll bring my Dewalt :-)
