There is no way anyone on here could possibly answer that unless we have some PA weathermen and at this point I think they should be keeping quiet unless they are telling us there is going to be a few weeks of sub zero weather headed our way.

Unless it starts getting really cold real quick I doubt you guys in SEPA will see any fishable ice this season but I could be wrong.

There is always a chance, but the chances grow slimmer every day. I think a cold snap could happen through February, look at the ice we had in December. The patterns just don't seem to be in our favor though.

I don't like it here, so I will probably be here for a while.........

Considering our season is usually over around the beginning of March (assuming a decent cake to start with) and that no real cold weather is even forecast through the weekend the window is shrinking quickly. The other problem is when the clippers blow in the wind usually blows for 2-3 days keeping the ice from forming. My guess is with luck we might get on the coves and some of the smaller, protected lakes briefly, and I'm hoping for a fridgid Feb!

Allentown this morning... record high 63 degrees w/ wind-driven rain at 5:00 am.

Not the best conditions for making ice. :-\

Also heard it was at or near 60 degrees in ther Pocono's as well. :-\ :-\

i think most of us can agree that, most places are shot to atleast feb, and thats with hope of a cold snap the 1st week.  the lakes in northern pa are starting to come apart, they can only take some much rain and warm.  global warming??  the next 7 days is not going to help us out at all.  how much longer can this last?
The more fish we release, is more fish we all can catch.  b/c we all like to catch.   Catch, Photo, Release!!  Such an easy concept, but so hard for others to understand!!!!!
