If you're looking for decent sized fish, skip Piseco. 95% of what you will catch there is short. Try Fourth Lake near Inlet. Set shiners at varying depths like bottom and right under the ice. Jig up some smelt, too to bait tip ups. PM me if you have questions.

I mean I'll catch anything.  What spots are good to try on Piseco?

Out in front of camp grounds, 23 feet under the ice. You should be able to catch a few. Try various depths also, you should have no trouble on Piseco a fun place to fish.

Shouldn't have any problems parking. Lots of room, and you shouldn't have too much company out there.

Oh wow you can park in the campground?  Figured it'd be blocked off or something.

Fished Piseco for a couple hours this afternoon.  No luck.  Tried for smelt and Lake Trout.  Temp was fairly warm but a good breeze blowing.

Fish ed Piseco lake yesterday. Caught some smelt. Jigged up 4  Lakers and about half dozen on the sticks and flags. Last trip for the ice_fishing. A good day other than digging out my wheeler twice, still a lot of Snow up there.tight lines.

Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay near Piseco or Fourth? Probably heading up in the middle of the week. Don't need a 5 star resort, just a place to sleep for the night.thanks
Real good Steve, we were biting this morning..we were biting this morning...

How much ice underneath that snow?  Shorelines still good?

I didn't measure but I would say a good 16in . I think you can have at least 2 weeks or more.

Was there Sat. No snow, glare ice. Take creepers. Two dink lakers, one nice salmon, in our party. Me, 0. Plenty of safe ice, shore line solid. Wheelers & sleds having no problem.

I haven't heard of a salmon from there in a long time. Well done. How big?
