wind has been brutal on the lake last couple days. perch bite central champlain is on fire. couple walleyes to the hole today that we could not fit through.

Latest forecast isn't horrible. 10-15 MPH south winds and chance of rain all day. Seen worse!

Not a bad day on the ice. Only a couple small pike and pickerel, but picked up a few nice white crappies 13"-14"and some slab perch. We were fishing a mud flat and channel edge outside the weeds and my guess is the pike were running closer to shore. Anyway, a couple friends joined us and were jigging perch inside a pop-up Eskimo when one of them broke off a 5# pike. Almost immediately the other had a hit and managed landing the pike with the jig from the first hit lodged in the corner of its mouth. Pretty cool.

It was a fun time for sure. Lots of perch went back down the hole. Brought home the one 14in crappie, 2 white perch, and 14 fat yellows. Its what's for dinner tonight. Fishing was steady enough I didn't need to hit the pbr too hard

Nope, weather was decent. Steady south wind but not so bad that I had to anchor down the Clam. Really pretty comfortable all day.
