Bass and Pike

Last sunday we caught 7 bass. biggest shown in the picture was 4.5 lbs..Some guy showed up and set up next to us and pulled out a 16.5 lb. beauty..I wish I was that lucky..no pike for me yet this year but that will change this weekend..

This guy holding the pike who I didn't know was going to keep this fish-but after a few minutes of talking with him he threw it back..thank God!!!

NICE work! On the bass, but even more so on convincing the guy to release the fish. That is huge. Just look for example at the diminished striper population in New England and the correlation with attitudes about conservation. Great to see guys like yourself promoting responsible use of the fishery.

I agree too. I don't understand keeping fish to mount them. It seems like everyone I've talked to says the replicas are higher quality/last longer.
