perch fishing gull?

I went out on gull a couple years back and was dropped off in the bay by m89 a few guys waved me over and by the time I got over they they had a limit of perch on the ice! I just wanna know if maybe some one had some tips or pointers to catching some jumbos out there?

Maybe random perch in the bay. But if u wanna fbsistently get into them you have to venture out to the main lake. Pm me if u need more help.

I live on the lake and have fished it hard for the past couple years. Perch seem to be coming back but ive had a hard time finding them. Some guys claim to have spots they pull limits but Ive only stumbled on to fish here and there accidently.. Numbers seem to be coming back though - seems like there are more and more every year. My Grandpa tells stories of not being able to keep jumbos off the hook when he was a kid...

I believe your right because it keeps saying there is an error... but I might head out there Monday or Tuesday evening I've got depth charts of the lake not so sure we're to get the but I'll try. I've never specifically targeted perch I just seem to catch a few wile catching gills. what are your guys favorite w

WaterfowlNut, you need 1 more post, & then you can PM, Steve. There are some slabs in Gull, but most guys are pretty tight lipped about their honeyholes.

Yes Hear ya on people being tight lipped but I don't blame anybody for that.. If anybody wants to go out there and meet up maybe Monday or Tuesday I don't care what we fish for.

Ive caught nice perch as deep as 80ft on gull and as shallow as 15. There tough to find at times and there is alot of dinks....means there reproducing good though....never killed jumbos yet but have caught some up to 13 inches...sure there are some bigger in the lake though.

Like others have said, lots of dinks w a few jumbos mixed in.  We dont target them much but did take a 14 1/4" a couple weeks ago on a tipup while pike fishing.

Might head out there Monday and actually try to target just perch I have never really tried it but I like to catch em and eat em!
