Yeah subtle, I did notice that pic was photoshopped but I did personally clean two or three fish in the last couple of years that had cigarette butts in their bellies.  The first time I saw it, I thought the fish had swallowed an artificial grub because it was crammed in there with other larvae and minnow parts.  I cut it with my knife and saw the fibers of the butt.  It wasn't anything like the pic but it was still disturbing and sad.  The picture is a dramatization but it did strike a chord for me.

I don't condone or defend litterbugs, But I abhor these stupid after school special propaganda pics that pander to the ignorant emotional masses.
Typically the kind of people that think these sort of pics are real are the same kind of people that don't know the difference between "their, there, and they're" or "two, too and to", or "piece or peace" or "your, you're". It's a similar mentality. Total mental laziness.

The Morning Call had a nice picture of Leaser Lake and along side of it was a hole with cigarette buts all around it on the ice. Does not make us look good. Take along a can for your butts

Yeah you sure can tell where the chewers have been fishing. Like the captn says the biodegradable waste isn't the issue here. It's the plastics and synthetics. for the sake of clarity I would suggest that all readers refer to my reply in the "smokers" topic posted this evening. We all need to remember to pack out our trash. It's important to take proper care of the few remaining resources open to the public in this area(SE Pa.). We're never going to have any more than whats out there right now. Not around here anyhow. So pack that trash out,it isn't that much extra effort.
