Ice is good, solid 10+ inches on Saturday.

Saw people out there last Saturday, but then again, there were people everywhere that day. The weather was beautiful and there was no wind, perfect day to be on the ice. Hopefully the perch have moved in, it's a pretty easy place to access and fish in general. I will keep this place in mind for this weekend.
Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:

Use caution- a friend told me that a truck had a close call on the south side. Lots of pressure cracks around and still forming too.

There's a lot of ice that's been broken up and refrozen. Looks really rough, but I haven't been out there yet, so I don't know how bad it is. Be cautious out there, definitely check the ice along the way.

can u access it thru appletree bay launch or is it closed off from all the construction they were doing a few months back?? havent been up there lately so kinda curious

Bass .... you can still access it from the launch at Appletree Bay.  The parking lot right at the launch was packed last Saturday, but I didn't see any vehicles on the ice.
