Question about ice conditions...

Having looked through the “Montana Fishing Reports and Conditions" and not being able to find the answer to this, would someone please tell me what is causing the difference in the ice in mid picture on the Fort Peck Walleye Central Web Camera?

Looks like “warm water” spring type designs that I have seen. Thank you.

Ah…thanks for the reply. Are you referring to methane gas?
And is this really common in that part of the State?
Also, where is the location of that camera with reference to the dam?
