Mashapaug Derby Team CT meet and greet

I'm planning on hitting the Maple Grove Derby on the 24th and this could be a good time to get together and meet some Team CT Ice Shanty members and fish together.  If your interested post here and we can make a running list and a meeting spot the day of.

The " Team " is anyone who is an Ice Shanty Member.  It's kind of figurativiley speaking.  I just figure if we could get a good group of CT members together for this derby we could all get together and fish together and maybe get a few winners on the board showing how well organized Ice Shanty is as a fishing forum.  I have been member of the Maine forum since 2008 and there is always good times to be had when groups get together and share ice and fishing tactics and stories. So no need to sign up for anything other than good times.  And if your interested sign up for the derby too and maybe take the win.

I am more than likely going to do this (95%) I was planning on hitting a couple this year soo this is perfect to start. I just ordered a sweet crimson pirate  (3' X 5') to fly on the ice because I was tired of having to try and explain to people where I am located on the lake/pond. I should have it by this weekend and will post some pics of it so people know if they see it out on the ice to come say whats up! You can definately count me in for this derby though.

I have a friend that I have not seen in a while who enters that derby every year. I'm in even if the turn out is the same as the reports I got this past weekend.

Reports are just fairy tales with out endings :-) So are we looking to find the Crimson Flag as a stop in point and maybe..... I'll be sure to show you all the winning fish before I bring it up to weigh in :-)

I can definitely set up the flag and fly it proud. I just put the derby into my schedule... I may have a small group of participants who are like my posse when it comes to fishing.... they only go when I go. (brothers and buddies who are licensed but are not active fisherman like myself)

I think we could use an entourage for spectator exaggeration stories " Not only did Flatty and Clindblom master this competition but they brought their own papparrazzi security with them"

Plus we can sick them on anyone spot burning or punching holes to close to us LOL!!!

Haha yeah, we can have security, film crew, first mate... the whole shaaabangg... but seriously I am probably going and i am serious about the crimson pirate flag... and anyone can always tell who I am because I where the exact same thing everytime I go ice fishing.....

That is all for my fashion show in this thread.... the point is I am easy to find and am always out somewhere on the ice.... and with the addition of this flag it should make it easier to spot me. As for this derby I will be rocking the same winter wears and sporting the new flag at my command post.

Haha this is great! I'd love to fish this with some knowledgable folk! I love fishing. And I love learning about fishing! Count me in...but like others posted...what are the details?
