Showdown Troller Issue
« on: Jan 11, 2015, 08:33 AM »
Ok I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. Close to 2 years ago I purchased the Showdown Troller 2.0 with the performance pack. I wanted to save on money by having a 12v battery instead of constantly using 6AA batteries. I tried to power on my unit about a month ago and it didn't turn on. The battery wasn't charged but now it is charged. Got the unit to turn on and after a few seconds it turned back off. Checked the fuse and the fuse is good. Checked the connections and they are good. When I use AA batteries I can get the unit to turn on. Could the problem be that I need a new wire harness?

Sometimes if the plug isn't in all the way it might do that. Make sure the harness is all the way in. At both ends.

x2! use pliers to make sure connectors are pushed all the way on the terminals of the battery. mine was doing the same thing. good luck!

Everything was tight. I cut off the connectors and put on some new ones. That seemed to have done the trick so far. Only time will tell. I have another unit and want to have this one as a backup or to lend out to friends when out on the ice.

Sounds like the connectors just needed crimped a little.
