I have not tried the mark 4 but the elite and hds models seem very good the only issue I could see with the mark 4 is the lack of screen resolution especially in water over 20'

Not much, but I have. It works but the flasher is kind of small.  I just use the regular sonar in full screen without fish I.D.  I have only had mine for a few weeks now. I like it but am still playing around with different settings just to see what I like best.
