Always tough losing the guys you looked up to and often times emulated. After my dad passed away, the minister said to me: "You are the one now. You are the one that keeps the family together." That turned out to be a real important time in my life. I am now the elder guy in the family and it's my job to help along the next generation the way my Dad, uncles and grandpa did. Next weekend, I'm heading up to the family cabin with my cousin, his nephew and my son. Its exciting to be in this new role and teach these guys what was handed down.

My condolences to you and your family.
It is MY responsibility to make sure my children can enjoy fishing years from now. Make sure your kids can fish.  If you see something ILLEGAL Contact the Massachusetts Environmental Police Radio Room at 1-800-632-8075 at any hour of the day. They might show up if there is enough staff working.

Sorry for your loss!

On one hand it is a sad story but on the other it is a great story.  I take my son out with me every time I go out on the ice and my girls come some times too.  I just hope I am doing as good a job as some of your fathers did with you and my son enjoys his time with me as you all did with your fathers.  We all take a lot of stuff for granted and as stated earlier enjoy the times that you can with your loved ones.

My famlies thoughts and prayers to you and your family!!!
