Lake Mitchell and lake Cadillac
« on: Jan 03, 2015, 09:37 AM »
Buddy and I are headed up to try for panfish and walleye. Never fished these lakes before and was just curious if there producing good numbers of fish. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I'll give a report at some point before the weekend is over.

Thanks,
Icebreaker

My bait always catches fish...or dies trying.

I fished Mitchell this morning and last night. Caught one pike over 24" and a lot of dink perch. Largest was about 7" and the smallest I managed was a little shorter than 2".
It was my first time on Mitchell. We didn't move around nearly as much as we should have. But it was still fun. At least 7" of ice every where we checked.

I went up and fished Friday and caught many crappie, blue gill, and some perch. It was a non-stop bite, had to sort through a lot of Little ones but did catch some keepers. I'd guess about 9" of ice. Caught one pike.

Well after a long cold weekend of chasing fish it was a fun trip, but a bust as far as the fishing goes. Lots of dink panfish.
