Yes, absolutely looking forward to some big lake fishing myself. Sick of pond fishing, been 3 weeks we have been pond fishing.

It's here that's for sure went to check out a local lake only 1 " so far with this cold should be able to at least walk on it for shore fishing

was it the local lake in your town ?? 1 inch if so its lost ice cause it was about 2 21/2 last fiday when i checked it !

Beaver lake treeguy I chipped a hole on shore today but with this cold I think by the weekend hopefully I don't like fishing alone when the ice is that low if I'm with someone I'll walk on 3" to 4"

  i don't think the wind will have much of an affect at all since most lake and ponds don't have open water any more.

The smaller lakes and ponds will have little impact but Winni just can't keep any ice it makes because the wind breaks it apart :-\

I'll find ice somewhere this weekend, mixed in between a local wrestling show Sat night and a honky-tonk band Sun night!
If I bring a radio to listen to the football games I'll have a grand slam weekend!
