My honest prediction if this weather keeps its pattern and we get those below freezing days then I can say confidently that most ponds will have 1-3 inches by Friday/Sat. Hopefully I'm right and I can finally start getting ready for cmass ice and possibly chase a few gators in the Thompson area.  ;D

I'm sure by Friday a lot of small ponds should have 3+ inches here in the northeast part of the state

At this rate with some days not even getting over freezing, this hole should have safe ice in another 2 or 3 days going by the chart. That being said I also feel like I should say don't take the chart as absolute. Still check for yourself. But it's coming! ;D

Just remember, the wind is blowing and breaking up the ice during the day.  Very unpredictable this year so far!

Stopped at Black Pond in Middlefield. About an inch and a quarter+  at the ramp. All the shallows are locked up. The back by the rip rap is still open, probably due to the wind down that way. Hope this crap for Sunday doesn't materialize. Going to take a ride Saturday to the North West.
