I checked Cheshire Lake in Cheshire, MA this afternoon.
I checked 1st Lake (the northernmost one) near the boat launch, and there was about 3 inches of ice.
Assuming the cold weather holds for the rest of this week, there should be a good 4 to 5 inches by this weekend.
However, for the benefit of anyone who hasn't fished there before, even then there will be weak spots - - Cheshire Lake has current (particularly on the southern half of 1st Lake), so the ice is thicker in some sections than others.
