Quite a price difference and a lot of plastic on the Honda. Strikemasters unit is much more compact and 3 lbs lighter. Anyone have hands on or compared the 2?

I have seen the honda in action, didn't get to test it out for myself.  The owner seemed happy with it, was very good on fuel, drilled through the ice in a hurry and started well for it being around -25.

Thanks Dubya. Been to Saskatoon in winter. the hoarfrost on the river trees is awesome. What do you need up there, 3 or 4 extensions to hit water? Thanks for the info, the strikemaster/Honda 4g looks great but the price may back me up to the jiffy lite 4 stroke

I've seen the strikemaster honda in action and it is very impressive. I have a Jiffy Pro 4 and it is very heavy. But when drilling thru 2' of ice that extra weight helps.

What I'm saying is the extra weight is not always bad. I have a sled and side by side to haul everything, so the extra weight doesn't really matter.
