Ice conditions Dover Foxcroft
« on: Dec 30, 2014, 03:48 PM »
We are headed up to St Albans this weekend looking to get on some ice, but I know the big lakes are open and even with this cold weather prob wont be ready by then.  I was looking at Harlow Pond or Center pond in Sangerville as possible options.  Do these places freeze quick?  Any info would be much appreciated

I am speaking from past experience, but am guessing both Harlow and Center will have near a foot of ice come Thursday.  They both freeze early and am sure they maintained ice over the warm snap.  Check them first, but thinking you will be fine on those.  Sebec and Schoodic were wide open yesterday, so those for sure won't be ready.  Good luck.

The snowstorm coming this weekend will make it iffy! Lots of the smaller ponds are locked up nice! Don't let the snow cover get you! Check and re-check!!
Is it ice time yet???

What snopro said! I was on harlow(SMALL SIDE) a week ago with 5 or 6". That was before the warm and rain. But with this cold its prob back to where it was, maybe a bit more. I WOULD NOT go out on the sangerville end. Parkman causeway will yield some 17+ trout...
Killin time til swimbait season..
