Yesterday I received a package delivered by UPS. It's tubular, about 4" in diameter, 7' long, and has 'St. Croix' on the ship label. Not a clue who it's from. Our family has called a truce for buying massive quantities of expensive gifts. Small gifts are OK, and grand kids are exempt. My wife didn't order it, and our kids know the rules. I fly fish a lot, and already have a St. Croix Avid 5wt fly rod that keeps me in fish for the year. It can't be opened before Christmas, my wife has to work, and the kids won't be here until the weekend. Any hints?? I'll post what I find out after Christmas..BB

who is it from then?

not sure why it can't be opened before xmas if no one you know bought it for you in your household. who's going to know better?

if no one in your home bought it because of the "rules", then just open it

otherwise, its from Santa Clause and he'll be watching

maybe a new flag pole? but, you didn't say the weight so

Does it have wrapping paper on it? If not Open it and find out what it is and then re-wrap it in wrapping paper with the Shipping label on it.

But first of all is it to you or just the family?

3300: I said it's from St. Croix..Heavy cardboard tube. I could open it, but it's a Christmas thing..Addressed to me. If it's a calender that's 6' tall, hope it's NOT from St. Croix..

what ever it is let us know what you got for sure lol's.. i hope it a 1 pc 5 foot 6 inch bamboo fly rod but i don't think st.croix makes em?

I was just in St. Croix the other day and they had their beanies on sale for $6. Maybe your wife or kids ordered you a new hat, and whoever packed the order put a new rod in with it.

Opened the package from St. Croix..It's a 6' ultra light pannie rod. Gold metal flake finish. Beautiful.. Catching a big gill or crappie will seem like hooking a tuna!! Still not sure who it's from, but guessing it may be my son. No paperwork..We're having our Christmas this weekend. Schedules are tough to arrange for everyone to come home. Thanks for the guesses. Gave me a good laugh..Happy rest of the Holidays!! bb
