What a coincodence!  Your fish_nut and I'm fishnut!

I was out at twin lakes last year around Christmas and the fishing there was pretty good.  Not spectacular, but pretty good. Caught about 20 or so in 2 hours.  They only have perch in that lake and it's stocked every year.

Iv'e only been there once, so my directions to get you there may be wrong...

As your driving out of North Battleford towards the North you drive about 7 Kms untill you hit a sign saying "twin lakes". There should be a great big Tower as you look to your left.  You turn left and then drive for about another 5-7 kms down a dirt road.  You just follow the winedy, twistey dirt road and it will eventually take you to the lake.  if you have 4 wheel drive that's an advantage, if you don't then park at the top of the hill and walk down.

I fished Twin lakes last boxing day, there are a pile of them in there but they are all small, really small. I have a camera and there was always fifty on the screen all the time but they were 3-4 " the biggest was maybe 6".

Good Luck

I don't think trout and perch could survive in the same lake.  Who knows though.

I was talking to an old vet, and from what I heard, trout and perch could not survive in the same lake because perch can eat trout minnows, but trout cannot eat perch minnows because of their sharp dorsal fins.  That's the probable reason, not 100% sure though.
