« on: Dec 06, 2014, 07:30 PM »
Lake is 47  acres , max depth 30 ft . fish population is good . bass , bluegills , crappie , bullheads and catfish
The 2 ovals on the south side is rock piles , the lake has dead trees from one end to the other even in the deep water.
the water is gin clear , 6 inches of clear ice or mostly clear

Just fish the edge of the weeds and move down the edge of it until you find fish?

Thats my best guess

I would start fishing where the water is...and go from there
When there is ice on the lakes, I never make employee of the month!

I like the points on the south side....west of the rock piles. Points near deep water always work pretty good for me.

Between the 13' hole NE of the rock pile and the rock pile itself.  Good place to start.

i'll agree with between the rock piles and the basin to the northeast, and i would also try northwest of the rock piles in that larger basin near 20ft.  should find some suspended crappies in either area.  they should be moving out deeper at this point. may still have luck near the weed beds since the ice isn't very thick yet.

I'd start on the south west end concentrating on log structure.  The tight counture lines provide depth and structure.  I'd work along the south shore to the rock pile with the my vex and cam.
"Hope" is not a good fishing strategy!
