I live not far from there, my son and I fish it a few times each winter. Being so close to home its a great lake to go to when we only have a few hours fishing time. We only catch bluegills, but we have did see a guy catch a perch, some smaller sized crappies and another guy caught decent sized bass caught there last year. At one time the lake was owned by the water company and it was called Number 2 dam. Back then you had to have a permit to fish it. Maybe 10 years ago, Peters Township purchased it and made it into a park, now called Peters Lake Park. No permit needed anymore, just a PA License. There's a trail all the way around it where people exercise themselves and their dogs. The township holds a kids fishing tourney there each August and my daughter won "Most Fish" in 2004 by catching 6 of the smallest bluegills you have ever seen. She was quite proud that day. If you call the Township Municipal Building and ask questions about ice fishing this lake you are likely to hear that it is off limits to ice fishing, but there's nothing on the signs around the lake prohibiting ice fishing... just ice skating. The upper end is considered nursery waters and is considered off limits to fishing, though people who don't bother reading signs do fish that area in the summer.. The lake gets quite a bit of fishing pressure in the winter as it is not very big maybe 15 acres (that's just a guess don't' bash me on that), but in all the times I have been there... there was room for a couple more fishermen. There is parking for about 6 vehicles off water Dam Road, and and quite a few more off of the Center Church Road side, but you have to cross more ice to get to the area where most people fish.
I was just past there a couple day ago, and though I didn't get out of the car and onto the ice... it didn't look safe to me... OK it didn't look safe to my wife
so we left. How much ice is on it now??

10:00 PM update... The fishable part of the lake is about 35 acres, and I forgot to mention that the park including the lake are open from sunrise to sunset.
