how to catch walleye at keyhole

I did a lot of bass fishing when I was younger and now want to learn good methods to catch walleye. What is the best method tip ups or rod and reel? Jig's or live bait? Please help me out.

Try a tipup with a dead minnow right near the bottom. Fish a stony covered  point near deep water with a falling barometer, on new good ice.

If your fishing keyhole your best bet is using some sort of spoon with live minnows or minnow pieces.

I had my best success with pk spoons and minnow heads or tails.  Locating active fish is the key.  Late afternoon before sunset was always awesome for us.  I got a vexilar fl-20 about halfway through the season and I don't know how I ever fished without one.  I use the navionics app as a starting point to locate areas that might hold fish. After that its drill and jig until I start marking fish.
