floor for your hub shelter

Do any of you use that puzzle floor system I think you can get at menards? I wonder if that would work ok or if it retains water? I would like it better then building a floor for saving weight if the price is right..

I have a very small one man shelter and use a couple of those foam puzzle tiles.  ( http://www.menards.com/main/p-2265825.htm ) I cut out a 8" hole and it works great as my floor. Feet stay warmer and it cleans up easily. It doesn't absorb any water and drys fast.

When you have used the floor, does it stop the moisture fom accumulating on the ceiling of the shelter? That would be a big added bonus if it did.

Im in the process of making a floor for my hub shelter, its a clam summit 6x8 so what im doing is making it in 3 sections that will be32x72  it will be hinged and fold out flat or fold the 2 sides up when in sled mode to haul the gear out, its going to have 2" Styrofoam insulation under the luan, I dont think it will be to heavy im going with 1/4" luan with 2x2 framework and with the insulation under it there is no need to have any cross supports, the insulation is strong stuff I ran a piece over with my truck and it didnt do any damage to it at all, dont know an exact wieght just yet but if i figured right it should be way under 45lbs where im at we get water on the ice at times so thats why im going with 2" to keep the water under the floor and when we run the heater in it it would eventually start to melt the ice making it sloppy inside so this will no longer be a problem either

My shelter gets very little to no condensation of moisture on the ceiling. I'm not sure if the foam floor is preventing that or if it's just the design of my shelter. I do get a bit of moisture on the windows if it's really cold out. It does make it warmer with no ice exposed.  Any fish slime, excrement, bait, etc. that gets on the floor rinses off easily when I get home.

When I use the floor in my hub style it still gets moisture accumulation on the walls and ceiling. I attributed this to the propane heater since the propane gives off condensation when it burns so I'm not sure any floor could truly keep the moisture from happening. I have the Eskimo Quickfish 3 non-insulated..... It might be that some of the insulated hub styles breath enough to allow the vapor to escape the hub before it accumulates on the walls and ceiling.

Great that was my main question if it absorbed any water and if it cleaned up good! I'm thinking that would be the ticket.

Do the "puzzle pieces" stay together or do they tend to come apart when you use them?  I've always assumed that if you piece those things together, they would come apart easily; especially if there is some snow on the ice creating an uneven surface.
