clam vs strikemaster hand augers

are they the same? looking for an extension for my mora. I saw somewhere, someone selling an ext for clamand said that it will fit the strikemaster hand augers as well. yes/no?

the Clam hand auger extension will work on strikemaster hand augers as the shaft diameter is the same on both of them.

I love my Clam 6"-16" extension that I use with my 6"Strikemaster Lazer on my Clam Drill plate.  However while similar the Clam and Strikemaster augers are different.  The Clams blades are made in China and the Strikemaster Lazers blades are made in Sweden.  Strikemaster has also bought the Mora auger and has outsourced that to China but the Lazers are still made in Sweden.

Thanks for confirming the Clam extension works on the Lazer guys...I read something about it elsewhere but was unsure.

I Don't think you can find any Auger blades made in Sweden anymore. Even on the new Augers they are all made in China.
